Deck Cleaning Dilemma -
May 24, 2008 - 6:15:35 AM
It is always recommended to clean and seal the CCA treated wood to prevent the washing out of the chemicals used in it. The soft wood on the surface of the deck can be damaged by a pressure washing. Even oxygen bleach can also be quite effective, as it is non toxic and has excellent cleaning abilities. Apart from this, using sealers made using synthetic resins are also recommended as they do not allow growth of algae or mildew.
