Dishwashers and Electronics

Summary: Today, where computers rule the world, it is not a stunning thing to say that dish washers have hit the market and housewives can now sit back and relax. These electronic gadgets are automated to clean the house-hold vessels with minimum noise, not making it an annoying activity.

Question: I am planning to buy a dishwasher which I noticed in the market. The prices seem to be quite high. I have a doubt if it is worth paying the amount and the pros and cons of installing the dishwasher and how about the energy consumption.

Answer: There is a growing competition among manufacturers in bringing out the best and most sophisticated dishwashers. Just like you have sensors in robots there are sensors in these instruments too to help you finish your job with ease. Moreover, the microchips attached to them can do it all by itself except that you need to switch it on!!

People prefer the ones that consume less energy and water and what’s more? You have many such dishwashers that satisfy these two prerequisites.

Now let me throw some light on the types of dishwashers available in the market with different sensing devices that make them the best ones. One of them has an eye attached to it so it can clean the dishes thoroughly using its extendable arms. Sometimes the amount of soap that you give is deficit. In that case, its special sensor heats up the water to make cleaning easier. Just like human voluntary organs, some of the dishwashers are equipped with arm rotating around to remove anything that blocks its working. Really amazing!!! Isn’t it?

Some are really intelligent machines and are tuned in such a way that it records the number of times you open and close the dishwasher. Once stored, the machine automatically knows when it is time to get to work.

One of the major concerns before buying any product is its cost. They range up to $800. Though they contribute a lot in saving energy, one cannot expect a break-even in a small time. They are far more costly than their non-electronic counterparts yet far more efficient. Of course lower the quality, the lower is the price and lower the service rendered.

Empty vessels make more noise-this proverb no more holds good when it comes to the modern dishwashers. The designers always keep in mind the noise controlling capacity of the instrument and manufacture it in such a way that least noise is heard while the work being done. This is achieved by the use of parts that reduce vibrations. A simple technique is by raising the volume of the sound which would deaden the door insulation and the surrounding areas of the tub. For fewer vibrations the use of precision electric motors is made. The usage of the rubber mounting grommets is quite beneficial and helps in isolating the vibrating motor or pump from the main part of the dishwasher.

Always remember to follow the steps in the right sequence. It is recommended to make sure that the right process is followed. Turn off the power/switch of the dishwasher along with the line that supplies water to the washer. The lower panel on the front should always be removed and the drain, water, electric and other necessary connections are accessed. After disconnecting these connections, it is suggested that the door of the dishwasher is opened. It will be observed that the countertop and the dishwasher are attached with the help of 2 screws. It is advised that these be removed and then the dishwasher is slide out. After this the new dishwasher can be installed. The only thing to be kept in mind is that the same step should be forwarded in the backward manner.
