Summary: It is very important to plan out before any remodeling project. You have to follow the house codes and there are a number of limitations in the system. So you will have to make your self aware of these codes and also analyze your own skills.
Though it is not a complicated process to install supply pipes, it may require a little effort in case you have plans for the DWV pipes. The easiest and the cheapest option when performing plumbing remodeling is to attach the new fitting or the group of fittings to the present stack of soil, which can be either done directly or via a branch drain.
The best way to do so would be to either install them below or above the pre-existing fittings, but still ensure that they follow the codes. You may also consider placing the fittings back o back with the already present group which is connected to the main stack of soil.
You will have to install another vent via the roof and a separate branch drain to the stack of soil or to the main hose drain through the pre-existing cleanout, if you have plans to install additional plumbing across the house. Always try to attach the sink, toilet or the shower drains to a previously existing branch drain, as it would save a lot of money on manpower and demolition.
Once you have planned your way of working for attaching the DWV system, you will have to analyze the various possibilities for placing the pipes for the new fittings and appliances. For doing so you will have to go through housing structures and layouts.
